Although Calcite is the main mineral in this stone, its aggregate gradation and structure can be different depending on the mine it’s getting extracted from. Furthermore, other minerals such as Quartz, Graphite, Hematite, and Pyrite can also be found in Aligudarz stone. The specific amount of each of these minerals in the stone can significantly affect its characteristics and overall quality. For instance, Aligudarz stone has high strength since it consists of a high amount of Quartz mineral.

Extraction and process of Aligudarz Stone

Aligudarz stone is extracted from mines as blocks or raw stones and exported to other countries. Raw Aligudarz stones are sent to factories in Tehran, Isfahan, or other cities where they are cut and processed in the form of slabs. Often, these slabs are covered by a layer of Epoxy giving them a more polished look as well as increasing their durability.
